27-May-2008: Ring Ditch 2 As hoped (expected?) we have uncovered a second ring ditch. It is just south of the earlier ditch but does not overlap. It is very different to the first but appears to be from the same era (Bronze Age). So far we have only removed the topsoil but the extent and shape of this second ring ditch is very clear. We will post more details and pictures as we get them. 24-July-2008: Ring Ditch 3 To our surprise, we have uncovered a third ring ditch. It is just south-east of ring ditch 2 and intersects it (that is, it is younger). This picture also gives a better impression of ring ditch 2.
